Search operators you can use with Gmail

Gmail allows you to use words or symbols called search operators to filter your search results. By combining search operators you can filter results even more.

To specify the sender, search using from:

To specify a recipient, search using to:

To find words in the subject line, use Subject:

To find messages that match multiple terms, use OR or { }

To remove messages from your results, type 

To search for an exact word or phrase, enclose the text in quotes: ” ”

Find messages with words near each other. Use the number to say how many words apart the words can be: AROUND
